Rockets fan here and it is very frustrating to watch the coaching team and front office ignore the obvious. I love following Sports Illustrated features on the Rockets as they are fairly objective about the issues most of us see: <a href="https://www.si.com/nba/rockets/onsi/news/rockets-prove-they-re-in-a-much-lower-tier-than-spurs" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.si.com/nba/rockets/onsi/news/rockets-prove-they-re-in-a-much-lower-tier-than-spurs</a> Today we won because Toronto's without starting centre Jakob Poeltl is not playing and we owned the glass. We lost the day before to Spurs because we couldn't. And Wembly is definitely an alien from Mars. We also lost because we have too many wings who supposed can shoot or defend and a lack of actual guards to lead the offense. Our biggest problem is that we are still hoping defence and offensive rebounds will carry our offense even though Steve Adams are down and we have no PG. That's why we don't have any real offensive schemes besides asking Sengun and Durant to isolate at the top of the key. They are not at their best when they are expected to do so. The solution is also not asking them to keep playing hard on defense and expect they have juice for productive iso defence or offensive bursts. We can talk all we want about Durant and Sengun but you have to wonder if the coach has lost them and the locker room. I do not see much interactions or even warmth between them and the coach. Only Reed and Amen are responding to Imeka's harsh love with their plays at this point. This season will still be a win if we make it out of the first round but we are too deeply flawed a team to make it past semi finals. I am just a fan and I have no skin in the game. Just wanted to mention that the Rockets have no clothes or mystery come play-off....

Rockets have no Plan B and they expect fans to be ok with that

Given the criticisms of the offense we discuss in the game threads, I decided to spend a few minutes seeing whether a simple analysis validated the frustration.The Rockets have played 62 games (I am posting this before the San Antonio game). Below is a graph of the points scored in each game with a linear trend and a 10 game moving average (the dotted line). This includes overtime games which should have higher scores.<ul><li>The linear trend is not a surprise.</li><li>The 10 game moving average looks like it is moving up. However, the recent games that spike above the trend are Utah, Sacramento, and Washington.</li></ul>To confirm what Xiane has been saying, of the 29 games where the Rockets have scored the league average 115 or more, only 8 are from 2026. In addition to the three games already mentioned, the other five are against the Nets, the Sixers (an overtime game so extra time), the Bulls, the Pelicans, and the Pacers.Unlike in investing, the trend is not our friend. Something needs to change.

2-What advantages does the world stars team have over the US teams, on paper?-If we play for real, we can beat these two teams. Of course, I don't know what will happen here. But I think everyone will play seriously. That's the rule, that's what's being said.3-Ime Udoka, the Rockets. Season review, so far.-I think we're having a very good season. Because the team is so good, expectations are very high. When we get bad results, there's a noticeable negative energy within the team, just like everyone else. I find that exaggerated. We have some serious shortcomings, but if we had won the last game, we would have finished 3rd in the All-Star break. Of course, there will be ups and downs; it's a long and difficult season. But as I said, we are fighters. Ime has a strong character, so he brings that toughness to the team. All these disappointments are normal because we are a very good team.I'm happy with where we are right now because we're generally a team that improves after the All-Star break.4- Biggest motivation?-My family.You know I've been playing basketball till August, thats harder then it looks. But thats why I'm here, thats what we've been paid for. And we're doing work we love, which I think is the most important thing.5- Can you name the 5 players here who impressed you the most with their character and performance?
